To get to this arena you have to drive about nine kilometres in the direction of Høyanger. When you see a signpost marked Saurdalen, turn right and follow a narrow road up the valley. At the end of the road there is a car park, and two hundred metres further up is the Saurdalen ski lodge. This is an ideal starting point for hikes and ski trips.
At this altitude (about 600 metres) the snow conditions are usually fine from December to April. Here you find:
•10 kilometres of well-groomed ski tracks in an open mountain forest terrain. Fine starting points for going higher up in the mountains.
•A 200-meter-long ski lift for children slopes for beginners and more advanced skiers, and floodlight.
•Open ski lodge, self-service, primitive accommodation for up to 20 persons.
